These terms apply whether you drop an item off in person at our shop on Watney Market or book a collection & delivery through our website — the same care standards and liability terms cover both.
Last updated: September 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses Diamond TDC — whether you bring items into the shop or book a collection online.
These Terms of Service govern every order placed with Diamond Tailors & Dry Cleaners ("Diamond TDC", "we", "us"), whether you drop an item off in person at 21 Watney Market, London E1, or book a collection & delivery through our website. By handing an item to us, or by confirming a booking, you accept these terms.
We clean and process every item in accordance with its manufacturer's care label instructions, using methods best suited to the nature and condition of each piece. We exercise great care throughout, but as set out below, there are some things we can't take responsibility for.

We clean to the care label. There are some defects and losses we can't be held responsible for.
We exercise great care in processing your garments and items, and use methods best suited to the nature and condition of each piece. We clean in accordance with the care label instructions.
Despite our intent to identify problems with garments in advance, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials that are not apparent prior to cleaning.
We cannot be liable for:
By handing such items to us, you agree that we clean them entirely at your own risk, and we shall not be liable to you for any resulting damage.
Tell us about stains upfront — results can't be guaranteed, and some treatments carry their own risk.
You are responsible for mentioning all stains when leaving garments with us. By leaving stained items with us for cleaning, you confirm you accept these terms and are allowing us to process the items at your own risk, knowing that results are not guaranteed. If the chosen method of processing damages your item, we will not be held liable. We aim to remove all stains, but in some cases this isn't possible.
We would love to guarantee removal of every stain, but we're unable to. The chances of successful stain removal are reduced if any non-professional techniques have already been applied — for example, using water or household chemicals in an attempt to remove the stain yourself. We treat problematic stains with great caution, but sometimes achieving results requires harsher techniques and specialist chemicals. Where that's needed, we will contact you before going ahead, as stain removal of this kind can only be carried out at your own risk. We are not able to guarantee any result.
Bulk washing is a higher-risk, lower-cost service — we don't check each item individually.
This service does not include pre-spotting or pressing and is processed under the customer's risk only. All service washes are washed at the relevant temperature and tumble dried. It is your responsibility to check that garments can be cleaned and dried this way — Diamond TDC cannot be responsible for shrinkage or colour runs.
We take care of all your garment care needs, however we do not check washing label instructions for this service. We are careful with all items and are unable to accept complaints or claims for colour fastness, shrinkage or missing items, as items in this service are not individually checked and counted — each order is put directly into the machines to avoid misplacement. Please ensure your clothes are washable and tumble-dryable before choosing this service.
We always confirm the price with you before starting chargeable repair or alteration work.
Before going ahead with any repair or alteration for which you will be charged, we will check with you to confirm the price.
Bring items into the shop during opening hours and we'll give you a ticket to collect them with.
Items can be brought in person to 21 Watney Market, London E1, during our published opening hours. We'll assess the item at the counter, issue you a ticket or receipt, and give you an indication of when it will be ready.
You must present your ticket to collect your item. If you've lost your ticket, please contact us with your name and order details and we'll do our best to verify and release your order.
Turnaround times vary by service and item — we'll advise you in-store at drop-off, and this may take longer during busy periods (for example, around holidays or wedding season).
Book a collection online for a £40 minimum order — we'll collect, clean, and deliver back to you.
Our collection & delivery service is subject to a minimum order value of £40. Collections and deliveries are made within scheduled windows that you choose or are offered when booking.
If we're unable to complete a scheduled collection because you're not available and no safe-drop or alternative instructions were provided, we will try to rearrange it. Repeated missed collections, or a missed collection with no notice, may incur a redelivery fee and result in a later slot being offered.
You must either be present to hand over or receive your items, or provide clear safe-drop instructions in advance. Once we have collected an item, it is held under our care on exactly the same terms as an item dropped off in person — including the care standards and liability terms set out elsewhere in this document. This also applies during transit back to you.
Booking and paying online (via Stripe) forms a contract once payment is confirmed — but the final price depends on what we find when we inspect your items.
Orders and payments made through our website are processed securely via Stripe. A contract between you and Diamond TDC is formed once your payment is confirmed and you receive a booking confirmation.
Pricing shown online at the time of booking is indicative and based on the information you provide. The final price is confirmed once your items are physically inspected in person, whether at drop-off or on collection. If an item differs from what was booked — for example, in type, condition, quantity, or the work actually required — we reserve the right to request additional payment to reflect the correct price before completing the work.
You can cancel a service booked and paid for online within 14 days — but asking us to start sooner means you lose that right once work has begun.
If you book and pay for a service online before physically handing your item to us, you have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If you ask us to begin providing the service before that 14-day period has ended — for example, by booking and keeping a collection slot within those 14 days — you agree that the service starts immediately at your request, and you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once cleaning or alteration work has begun.
To cancel within the 14-day window before any collection or work has started, contact us by phone or email as early as possible — see Section 17 for our details.
Prices can change without notice, but never retroactively on an order you've already confirmed.
Diamond TDC reserves the right to change prices at any time without notice. This does not apply retroactively — a price change will never affect an order you have already confirmed and paid for or agreed in-store.
If we damage or lose an item, compensation is based on its depreciated value, capped at ten times the cleaning charge.
Diamond TDC works professionally to ensure the very best processes and procedures are carried out to a high standard, so that all customers are satisfied with the service. However, as with all cleaners, accidents can occur.
We will not be liable for any item(s) not collected more than 3 months after dropping off the item(s) with us.
In the event of damage or loss, we will provide the depreciated fair value of the item as set out by the Textile Services Association (TSA), only once the age, original value and proof of purchase from the customer is clearly established. We do not replace items old for new — we need to establish the age and condition of the item before any compensation is paid out.
The value of a garment depends on its age. In the unlikely event of damage to any item, Diamond TDC's liability shall not exceed 10 (ten) times the service charge for cleaning the garment, regardless of brand or condition. Customers are only entitled to recover the value of the garment's remaining life expectancy — according to the DLI's Fair Claims Guide, a shirt bought one year ago would only be worth a maximum of 40 percent of its replacement cost.
Any claim settled by us is on the condition that it is accepted by you as full and final settlement.
We hold items for 3 months, whether they were dropped off in person or booked for delivery.
We will not be liable for any item(s) not collected more than 3 months after dropping off with us. For collection & delivery orders, this same 3-month period applies from the date we first attempt redelivery — including where a customer does not respond to arrange a suitable redelivery.
Check your items at collection or on delivery — we can't accept liability after that point.
Please ensure you check your garments at the time of collection. No liability will be accepted once garments have been collected.
For items delivered to you, the equivalent point is within 48 hours of delivery. Please inspect delivered items as soon as they arrive and let us know of any concern within that window; after 48 hours, the same no-liability position applies as for items collected in-store.
We can decline to take on a job, at our discretion.
Diamond TDC reserves the right to refuse to provide a service to any customer.

Yes, within limits. If we damage an item, we pay its depreciated fair value following Textile Services Association guidance, capped at ten times the cleaning charge for that item. We don't replace items old for new.
Let us know as soon as you can so we can rearrange delivery. A missed collection with no notice may mean a redelivery fee and a later slot.
You have 14 days to cancel an online booking under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work sooner, for example by booking a collection slot within that window, you agree the service begins immediately and you lose the right to cancel once cleaning or alteration work has started.
We hold items for 3 months from drop-off or from the date we first attempted redelivery. After that we're no longer able to guarantee we can return them to you.
Everything is cleaned on our own premises at 21 Watney Market, London E1 — nothing is outsourced, whether you drop items off in person or book a collection.
Get in touch and we'll be glad to help before you book.
